About the Climate Crisis and its Stabilization from a Sustainability Sociologist
Climate Stabilization
At the current CO2 emissions rate some six years are left to keep global heating at 1.5 degree Celsius. Even climate scientists are sounding the alarm and start using strident language of climate emergency according to a recent article in the Washington Post.[1] Governments, business, and civil society are playing a dangerous game that may threaten even modern civilization rather than only the Earth’s atmosphere. This dangerous predicament should force each of the nearly 8 billion humans to become aware of the need not only for increased renewable energy technologies but new social system thinking and action.
