Monetary Transformation in a Global Economy
The Debt and Money Systems
INTRODUCTION TO DEBT AND MONEY SYSTEMS
One of the best sources of understanding of how debt and money systems interact is the extensive resources section of the Alliance for Just Money[1], the educational arm of the American Monetary Institute. The section shows in articles, videos, different bibliographies how citizen monetary organizations(CMOs) are trying to develop the present debt-based financial system into amoney-based financial system by advocating taking the money creation from the banking system back into public sector, and by transferring the US Federal Reserve into the US Treasury Department.

A practical example of such sovereign money creation is being pursued by a dozen lawmakers in promoting a Natioal Infrastructure Bank that would create outside the regular budget process $5 trillion that is calculated to produce 25 million jobs.[2]
Besides these two sources on debt and money systems with their educational outreach a third one is entitled “Ample Money” that is part of the transformmoney website.[3]
